Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 6, 1932

George G. Cabler, aged 59, died Monday night at 11 o'clock at the residence, 728 
Atwood Avenue, Ocean View. Mr. Cabler was a native of Kansas City, Mo., son of 
the late Charles T. and Jeanie Black Cabler, and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for the past 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian A. Cabler; a 
daughter, Mrs. Yeve Smith, of Gratton, Conn.; three grandchildren; two sisters, 
Mrs. Harry Bennett, of Roanoke and Miss Jean D. Cabler, of Washington, D.C. and 
a brother, J.M.B. Cabler, of Houston, Texas. Services will be conducted at H.D. 
Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, Thursday afternoon at 
2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Charles Browning, Jr., pastor of Ocean view 
Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
