Ruth Whitehurst Cacace, 92, formerly of 156 W. Belvedere Rd. and recently of 7211 
Granby St., The Ballentine Home, died Nov. 5, 1999. Mrs. Cacace was a native of 
Norfolk, and the widow of Charles M. Cacace.

Survivors include her daughter, Marguerite C. Burton and her husband, Roy, of 
Norfolk; three grandchildren, Margie B. Griffith and her husband Charles Jr., of 
Norfolk, Roy L. Burton II and his wife, Jewell H. Burton, of Virginia Beach, 
Charles Mitchell Burton and his wife, Damien, of Norfolk; and seven great-
grandchildren, Roy Chadwick Burton, Carrie Cacace Burton, Christopher Burton 
Ripley, Matthew Scott Ripley, Charles Dee Griffith III, Charles Mitchell Burton 
Jr., and Erin Casey Burton.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery by the Rev. David Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may 
be made to Sister Agatha's Fund c/o DePaul Medical Center or Saint Mary's Infant 
Home. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
