He was a son of Julius and Mrs. Annie Delk Caesar. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Annie Hargrove Caesar. A native of Ivor, he had lived in Norfolk more than 60 years. He had been employed as a freight reader by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway for 14 years and had been working until the time of his illness. He is survived by two sons, John Caesar Jr., and Clarence Caesar; one daughter, Miss Gladys Caesar, and one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Williams, all of Norfolk. The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church, of which he was a member, Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. C. E. Griffin, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
