NORFOLK— Herbert M. Caffee Sr., 61, of 6131 Curlew Drive, the husband of Mrs. 
Cleophia Crowling Caffee and a son of James P. and Mrs. Kate Howard Caffee died in 
a hospital Saturday morning.

A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was employed by Virginia Transit Co. 44 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Herbert M. Caffee Jr. of 
Chesapeake, and Ernest J. Caffee and Michael F. Caffee of Norfolk; a daughter, 
Mrs. Shirley Beach of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Williamson of Norfolk; and 11 
grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 10 
a.m. Burial will in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
