Mrs. Mary Mitchell Cahill, wife of John Cahill and daughter of the late John 
Arther (sic) and Katherine Finacy Mitchell, a native of Yorkshire County, England, 
and for the past 33 years, a resident of Norfolk, died at 1:20 o'clock yesterday 
morning, at the residence, 406 Raleigh Avenue.  Besides her husband, John Cahill, 
she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Hugh C. Preston, Jr., of Washington, D.C.; 
Mrs. Harold J. Wright, of San Diego, Calif.; the Misses Katherine and Mary Cahill, 
of Norfolk; three sons, Edward H. Cahill, of Philadelphia; John Cahill, Jr., of 
Norfolk; and Capt. Martin Owen Cahill, U. S. A.; four grandchildren, Hugh Caperton 
Preston, III, Martin Owen Cahill, Jr., and Barbara and Joan Wright; one sister, 
Mrs. James Connelly, of England.  Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, of which she was a member, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.  
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
