The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, March 22, 1990

NORFOLK - James T. Caine, of the 1100 block of Rugby St., a retired 
chiropractor, died March 19, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. Caine, a native of Halifax County, N.C., was a member of Gideons Missionary 
Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Caine of California; four daughters, 
Vera Williams of Norfolk, Tina R. Cooker of Ohio, and MeShon Caine and Brandee 
Caine, both of Palmdale, Calif.; two sons, James T. Caine Jr. of Frankfurt, West 
Germany, and Brandon Caine of Palmdale; three sisters, Lillian F. Daniels, Elgia 
N. Jones and Edna L. Caine, and three brothers, Lester Caine, McKinley Caine and 
the Rev. Ashley Caine, all of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Gideons Missionary Fellowship 
Baptist Church by the Rev. Milton Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. 
Family and friends will assemble at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is 
handling arrangements.
