Ensign Cake, who was 26 years old at the time of his tragic death, was the son o of Mrs. Lena D. Cake, of 1408 Fiftieth Street, and W. P. Cake of Miami, Fla. After being graduated from Maury High School in 1934, he worked for three years and then enrolled at the University of Richmond, where he received his bachelor's degree in education in June 1941. Last January, Henry Cake enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve and was sent to Northwestern University for training, being commissioned an ensign upon c completion of the course. He was assigned to a ship last June, and was seen l last by his family on June 13, when his ship sailed from here. He was u unmarried, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norfolk. Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. A. B. Davies, Jr., of Clifton Forge, and Miss Frances Cake, of Rock Hill S. C.; two brothers, Richard D D. Cake, of Norfolk, and Walter J. Cake of Montclair, N.J., and four nephews. The body will be brought here for funeral services and burial.
