Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 10, 1939

Paul M. Cake, 39, husband of Mrs. Hazel Cake, son of Charles M. and Mrs. Mattie 
Cardoza Cake, and grandson of the late Walter K. and Mrs. Kate Barrett Cardoza, 
died at Washington yesterday morning. Mr. Cake was a former resident of Norfolk. 
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Paul M. Cake, Jr. and two 
brothers, John B. and Clarence M. Cake, both of Washington.
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial Avenue, Norfolk, Tuesday afternoon at  3:30 o'clock, with the Rev. John 
F. Ward, rector of the Church of The Ascension, officiating. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
