NORFOLK—Mrs. Thelma Chitty Caleo, 73, of 5621 Tidewater Drive, the widow of 
Salvatore John Caleo and a lifelong Norfolk resident, died Monday in Chesapeake 
General Hospital.

She was retired office manager of American Sheet Metal Co. She was a member of 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Norfolk Doll Club, American Red Cross, and 
an honorary member of the Women's Traffic Club.

Survivors include a son, Leon J. Caleo of Troy, Mich.; a brother, Luther Chitty of 
Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited Thursday night at 7 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. 
A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
