Norfolk Ledger Dispatch April 28, 1949

James Caleo, 74, died at a Norfolk hospital Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. He was a 
native of Italy and a resident of Norfolk for 40 years, much of the time at 1043 
Brambleton Avenue. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. A. Vitlo, Mrs. G.D. Owens, Mrs. R.B. BeCraft, 
Mrs. James Culpepper, Mrs. C.H. Massey, all of Norfolk and Mrs. Oliver Legacy, 
of Springfield, Mass.; three sons, Sam, Salvadore and Anthony Caleo, all of 
Norfolk; 24 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments Friday at 7:30 
p.m.

CALEO, JAMES - At a local hospital, Wednesday, April 27, 1949, at 5:45 o'clock 
p.m., JAMES CALEO, in the 75th year of his age.  The remains will be taken from 
the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to the St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services SATURDAY MORNING at 10 o'clock.  Friends of the 
family are invited to attend.  Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.

JAMES CALEO - Services for Mr. Caleo, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Saturday at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.  Rosary services will be held at the Oliver Funeral Apartments today 
at 7:30 p.m.
