The services were conducted by Rev. W.G. Starr, D.D., pastor of Cumberland Street M.E. Church, and the interment took place in Elmwood Cemetery. The following gentlemen were the pall-bearers: Messrs. W.R. Fentress, S.N. Brickhouse, H.R. Berryman, G.W. Camp, F.M. Smith, W.W. Vicar, E.J. Whitehurst and L.W. Davis.
