Mr. Calhoun had retired as a crane operator at Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 20 years. He was self-employed electrical contractor for more than 40 years. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Thelma J. Calhoun; two daughters, Melvine C. Blakeley and Corrine C. Williams, and two sons, Clarence W. Calhoun Jr. and Clinton J. Calhoun, all of Norfolk; a sister, Fannie Stone of Hempstead, N.Y.; a brother, Charles Calhoun of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Shiloh Baptist Church by the Rev. John H. Foster. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. The family will be at the residence. Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Riddick Funeral Home.
