Virginian-Pilot  August 30 & 31, 1937
Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Callahan, aged 80, widow of Thomas J. Callahan and daughter of 
William and Mrs. Elizabeth Wood Furlong, died at her residence, 437 Connecticut 
Avenue, Colonial Place, yesterday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock.  She was a native of 
St. John, New Brunswick, and a resident of Norfolk for the past 57 years.  
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Mary McAllister, of New York, and Mrs. 
Theresa Sherry and Mrs. Jake Versprille; two sons, James J. and John T. Callahan; 
15 grandchildren; three sisters, Miss Margaret C. Furlong, Mrs. James N. Brennan 
and Mrs. George M. Heppel, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church tomorrow 
morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. 

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Callahan - Funeral services for Mrs. Callahan, widow of Thomas 
J. Callahan, whose death occurred Sunday at the residence, 437 Connecticut Avenue, 
will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, this morning at 10 o'clock.  
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
