Callahan and son of the late Denis and Mrs. Mary Sullivan Callahan, died at the residence, 1451 Ashland Circle, Winona, yesterday at 5:00 p. m. A native of Worcester, Mass., he had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 15 years. For 41 years, and until his retirement June 30, 1950, Mr. Callahan was inspector- in-charge, Meat Inspection Division, United States Department of Agriculture, being connected with the Norfolk office the last of his 11 years in that service. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Denis J. Callahan and Joseph G. Callahan; two daughters, Misses Mary and Margaret Callahan, all of Norfolk; one brother, John Callahan, of Arlington, Mass.; and three sisters, Mrs. John Gearin, Mrs. John Boylan and Mrs. Mary Walsh, all of Worcester, Mass. The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments pending arrangements.
