Denis Daniel Callahan, 70, husband of Mrs. Catherine E. Callahan and son of the 
late Denis and Mrs. Mary Sullivan Callahan, died at the residence, 1451 Ashland 
Circle, Winona, yesterday at 5:00 p. m.

A native of Worcester, Mass., he had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 15 
years.

For 41 years, and until his retirement June 30, 1950, Mr. Callahan was inspector-
in-charge, Meat Inspection Division, United States Department of Agriculture, 
being connected with the Norfolk office the last of his 11 years in that service.

He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Denis J. Callahan and Joseph G. 
Callahan; two daughters, Misses Mary and Margaret Callahan, all of Norfolk; one 
brother, John Callahan, of Arlington, Mass.; and three sisters, Mrs. John Gearin, 
Mrs. John Boylan and Mrs. Mary Walsh, all of Worcester, Mass.

The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments pending arrangements.
