NORFOLK - Denis John Callahan, 65, of 1727 Ashland Ave., retired supervisor of 
Civil Service personnel in naval communications at Norfolk Naval Station,
died Tuesday.

A native of Portland, Maine, he was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Misses Margaret C. Callahan and Mary T. Callahan of 
Norfolk.

The Office of the Dead will be said Thursday at 7:30 pm in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Christ the King 
Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family asks that flowers 
be omitted.
