A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he resided at 437 Connecticut Avenue, Colonial Place. His late parents were Thomas Joseph and Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Furlough Callahan. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge 38, BPO Elks. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katharine Walsh Callahan; one daughter, Mrs. James C. Respass, of Charlottesville; two sons, John T. Callahan, Jr., and William W. Callahan, both of Norfolk, and three sisters, Mrs. Theresa Callahan Sherry, and Mrs. Elizabeth Callahan Versprille, both of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary McAllister, of New York. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for services Monday at 10 a. m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held tomorrow at 7:30 p. m. at the funeral apartments.
