Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 2, 1920

Indiana Canady, wife of George W. Canady, of Portsmouth, died yesterday 
afternoon at 4 o'clock at the residence, Portsmouth Avenue, Ocean View, age 79 
years.  She was a native of Portsmouth and had lived in Ocean View for 11 years. 
She is survived by two children, Mrs. Willie Ireland, of Ocean View and C.B. 
Canady, of Baltimore and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.

The funeral services of Mrs. Indiana Canady, widow of the late George W. Canady, 
will take place at the funeral apartments of H.D. Oliver, 610 East Freemason 
Street, this afternoon at 2:30.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.  The Rev. 
C.M. Watson will officiate.

The funeral of Mrs. Indiana Canady, widow of George W. Canady, took place 
yesterday afternoon at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments in East Freemason 
Street, the services being conducted by Rev. C.M. Watson, of the First Christian 
Church (Disciples) assisted by Rev. C.S Blackwell, of the Ocean View Baptist 
Church.  Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.  The pallbearers were L.L. Thomas, 
Fletcher Gray, James Hodges, Dr. J.L. Deitrick, Mr. Capps and B.R. Anderson.
