He was an Irishman by birth, but had been in this country many years, having fought in the Confederate army. He leaves a widow and three sons. The funeral was conducted from the residence of his son, corner of Cove and Cumberland streets, yesterday afternoon by Rev. Father Doherty, of St. Mary’s Church. The flag on the City Hall was at half-mast Sunday and Monday in respect to his memory.
