Mary Martha Cannon, 83, of the 8300 block of Mona Ave., died Sept. 4, 2000.

Miss Cannon was born in Norfolk on Jan. 29, 1916, and was the daughter of the late 
Mary Tillett Cannon and William Joseph Cannon. She was a member of St. Pius X 
Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include her sister, Kathleen Cannon Crockett; and her niece, Joanne 
Crockett Lewis and her husband, Marvin Lewis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Norfolk 
Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. by Father Francis Muench. Burial will follow 
at St. Mary 's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. In 
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, 
6700 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk, VA 23518.
