The Norfolk Virginian Pilot April 2, 1938


Virginia Lee Glenn Cannon, aged 72, a native of Saint Brides and for many years 
a well-known resident of Norfolk, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. 
S.R. Chisman, 310 Marshall Street, Hampton, yesterday afternoon at 5:30 
o’clock. Surviving are her husband, Maurice D. Cannon; one daughter, Mrs. 
Chisman; and one son, M.G. Cannon of Washington; ten grandchildren and four 
great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cannon was the daughter of George B. Glenn and 
Caroline Wright Glenn. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, 
Norfolk.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, 
pending arrangement for service.
