He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J.W. Ackiss and Mrs. Robert French, and a son, Leroy T. Canoles, of Norfolk, a sister, Mrs. Julius w. Davenport of New Orleans; nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday at noon by Anthony Giordana of Christadelphia Chapel, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Additional Comments: Elmwood NOTE name on tombstone is Edward Canoles Norfolk city directories give his name as Edward, his WWII registration is also Edward, but the 1900, 1920, 1930 and 1940 census records all list him as Edwin.
