The deceased had been in delicate health for several years, but his fatal illness was only of ten days' duration. Two daughters survive him - Miss Annie W. Capps, who is residing at Rome, Italy, and Miss Lily M. Capps, who recently returned from that country, and is connected with the Hampton Female College. Mr. Capps was born in Princess Anne County, but came to Norfolk in early manhood and has lived here for more than half a century, and for a long time was actively engaged in business, but of late years had led a retired life. He was a member of St. Paul's Protestant Episcopal Church, having connected himself with it in his earlier years. He was also a member of the Knights of Honor. The obsequies will be held from the residence of Mr. Robert Johnston, No. 3 Beechwood Place, Ghent, at 3 o'clock this afternoon, and will be conducted by Rev. B. D. Tucker, rector of St. Paul's. The following gentlemen, for many years friends of Mr. Capps, will act as pall-bearers. Citizens - B. A. Marsden, Fred. Greenwood, Thomas R. Borland, John L. Farant, C. J. Creekmur, J. R. Fitchett.
