Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch March 26, 1940
CAPPS, MARY LOUISE – At the residence, No. 750 East 25th street, Monday, March 25, 
1940, at 11:45 o’clock p.m., MARY LOUISE, wife of Lee Washington Capps and 
daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Louise Wright Tompkins, age 62 years. 
Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial 
avenue, to Old St. Paul’s church for services WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON at 4 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood cemetery.
