CAPPS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Capps, aged 17 years, 6 months. The funeral will take place from the residence of his parents, No. 1918 Highland avenue, TUESDAY, August 10, at 4 p.m. Friends of the family invited to attend. **************************************************************************** Walter Capps Drowns in Tanner's Creek Two Brothers Narrowly Escape Same Fate In Attempting To Rescue Las While bathing with several companions just off Huckleberry Point above Chesterfield Heights yesterday morning about 11:30 o'clock, Walter B. Capps, 17 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Capps, 1918 Highland avenue, was drowned. Two brothers, who attempted to save him, also had narrow escapes from drowning. The boys were bathing from a boat in the creek, when young Capps was seen to be in distress. Efforts to save him failed, and the body was recovered soon after the accident. County Coroner J.S. Carmine was notified and he viewed the body. The funeral will be held from the residence 1918 Highland avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. J.T. Anderson, pastor of Park Avenue Baptist church. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
