She was the wife of R.T. Capps and daughter of the late Robert and Mrs. Ada Coleman Ferguson, a native of Appomattox County, but had been a resident of Norfolk for nearly 30 years. Mrs. Capps was a consistent member of Park Place Baptist Church and of the Lady Maccabees. In addition to her husband she is survived by five sons, R.T. Capps, Jr. and E.W. Capps, New York City; D.C., Floyd F. and Aubrey Capps of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. H.C. Roper, Norfolk and Mrs. G.H. Simmons, Cradock; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. J.D. Melms, Cradock and one brother, W.W. Layne of Norfolk. The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 Westover avenue, where funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
