Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 31, 1919

Mrs. Emma J. Capps, widow of John T. Capps, died Wednesday night at the home of 
her sister, Mrs. Herbert S. Fentress, Maltby Avenue.  She is survived by three 
sisters, Mrs. Fentress, Mrs. John Price and Mrs. Elnora McGuire, all of Norfolk. 
The funeral service will be held today at 3:30 o'clock at the Oliver funeral 
apartments, Rev. P.P. Brennan officiating.

CAPPS, EMMA J - At the residence of her brother-in-law, Herbert S. Fentress, No. 
818 Maltby Avenue, Wednesday, January 29, 1919, at 10:25 o'clock p.m., EMMA J., 
widow of John T. Capps.
Services at H.D. Oliver's funeral apartments, 610-12 E. Freemason Street, THIS 
(Friday) AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock.  Kindly omit flowers.
