Virginian Pilot October 10, 1909

Miss Essie Capps, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Capps, died at the home of her 
parents on Pollard Avenue, at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning, aged 13 years.
The funeral will be held from the residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon, and 
will be conducted by the Rev. Vernon I'Anson, D.D., of the Grace Baptist Church.  
The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

CAPPS - At the residence of her parents, Pollard Street, Lindenwood, Saturday, 
October 9, 1909, at 6:30 a.m., ESSIE CATHARINE, daughter of C.J. and Hattie 
Capps, aged 13 years.
The funeral will take place from the Grace Baptist Church (instead of the 
residence) THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock.  Friends of the family invited 
to attend.
