CAPPS, FOR YEARS CITY EMPLOYE, IS DEAD Wilson M. Capps, aged 71, died at the residence of his granddaughter, Mrs. T.J. Pick, 319 West Twenty-fifth Street, last night at 7:35 o'clock after a long illness. Besides his granddaughter, he is survived by a grandson, Reginald L. Shipp, of Cincinnati, a half-brother, Newton Capps, of Princess Anne County and a number of step grandchildren. Mr. Capps was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 45 years. He had been in the employ of the city of Norfolk for the past 27 years and until his retirement several years ago had been employed in Elmwood Cemetery for 27 years. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge 32, I.O.O.F. The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements. ******************************************************************** Wilson M. Capps - Funeral services for Mr. Capps will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home this afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. S.W. Joiner, pastor of the Neighborhood Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
