TALBOT CAPPS, aged 61 years. The funeral will take place WEDNESDAY, December 30 at 11 a.m., from the Zion M.E. Church. Friends of the family invited to attend. ******************************************************************************* The funeral of J. Talbott Capps, whose death took place at his residence, 1248 Thirty-seventh Street, Lamberts Point, Monday afternoon, will take place this morning at 11 o'clock from the Zion Methodist Church and interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Capps was 61 years old. His death came as the result of a lingering illness. He was born in Portsmouth and was the son of the late Washington T. and Frances Ann Capps. He lived for many years at the northwest corner of Washington and London Streets where the St. John's Episcopal Church is now located. He moved from Portsmouth to Back Bay. Later he moved to Cape Henry where he lived for several years before coming back to Norfolk and taking up his residence at Lamberts Point. Mr. Capps first wife died several years ago and in 1911 he married Miss Cora Stephenson of Suffolk, who survives him. Several children also survive him. These are Mrs. R.P. Jarvis of Schenectady, N.Y.; Mrs. W.M. Carswell and Miss Fanny A. Capps, both of Norfolk; J. Talbot Capps of Norfolk and O. Bernard Capps, W.T. Capps and T.L. Capps, all of Schenectady; a brother, Rear Admiral Washington Lee Capps, U.S.N. and a sister, Mrs. Fanny B. Couper of Norfolk. Talbot Capps took place at 11 o'clock yesterday morning from the Zion Methodist Church at Lamberts Point. Rev. G.T. Forrester, pastor of the church, conducted the services, assisted by Rev. J.A. McKaughan, pastor of the Burrows Memorial Baptist Church, Lamberts Point. There was a large attendance. There was a solo by Mrs. Josie Allen, "Sleep on Beloved." There were handsome flowers. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery and the pallbearers were: Honorary - Judge A.J. Ackiss, J.A. Turner, Dr. H.R. Drewry, W.W. White, W.W. Dawley, J.H. Simons, C.T. Brooks, Nathaniel Beaman Active - E.E. Redfern, E.M. Atkinson, Dr. C.J. Andrews, W.R. Frazier, C.W. Pierce, G.F. Fulford.
