New Daily Pilot February 8, 1896

Mr. Joel Capps died at 8 o'clock yesterday morning at his home on City Hall 
Avenue, aged 57 years. The funeral will take place from the residence at 3:30 
this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Moore, of Queen Street M.E. 
Church. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

The funeral of the late Joel Capps took place yesterday from the residence, on 
City Hall Avenue, and was conducted by Rev. J.W. Moore, of Queen Street M.E. 
Church. The remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery.
