She was the daughter of the late John and Mrs. Mary Manby, a native of Norfolk, and had resided here all of her life. Surviving her are one daughter, Georgie L. Capps and two sisters, Mrs. Kate Cannon and Mrs. Annie Kelly, all of Norfolk. She was a member of Virginia Chapter No. 22, O.E.S., Daughters of America and Golden Heart Division of the G.I.A. The remains will be taken from the residence of her sister, Mrs. Kelly, 815 Clay Avenue, to St. Peter's P.E. Church, for funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The Rev. Norman E. Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. **************************************************************************** Mrs. Mary E. Capps - Funeral services for Mrs. Capps were conducted yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at St. Peter's P.E. Church and were largely attended. The Rev. Norman E. Taylor officiated and during the services Mrs. W.C. Hayes sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought." Virginia Chapter O.E.S. conducted services at the residence and the Daughters of America conducted services at the grave. There were many floral offerings. Pallbearers were John Kelly, Gordon Cannon, John Manby, Earl Manby, George Manby, Albert Capps, Leonard Fentress and Vernon Capps, all nephews of the deceased. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
