Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 4, 1943

Mrs. Margaret Cornelia Boyles Capps, aged 59, widow of Overton Bernard Capps, 
died at the residence, 2708 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, last night at 10:50 
o'clock, after a long illness.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jack G. 
Sisk, of Virginia Beach, two sons, Arthur Richard Capps, of Virginia Beach and 
O.B. Capps, of Reading, Pa.; two grandsons, Lylas Richards and Arthur Edward 
Richards, both of Virginia Beach and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Capps was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Reading, Pa.
The body was removed to the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth Street 
and Colonial Avenue, pending funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Margaret Cornelia Boyles Capps - Funeral services for Mrs. Capps, widow of 
Overton Bernard Capps, were conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, 
yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, by the Rev. J.B. Clower, pastor of the 
Virginia Beach Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. M.M. Bloodworth, pastor of the 
Virginia Beach Methodist Church, assisting. Mrs. J.B. Shirey sang "A Perfect 
Day" with Mrs. George L. Aldridge as accompanist.
Pallbearers were Alfred W. Craft, William Alton Carswell, Paul W. Ackiss, George 
L. Aldridge, S. Claude Rogers, Jr. and Milton Ferrell.
Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
