CAPPS The announcement of the death of this gentleman at St. Vincent's Hospital at 10 o'clock Sunday morning will be no great surprise to readers of this paper, who will recall that in our issue of that morning it was stated that he was brought to that institution from Ocean View Saturday, suffering with strangulated hernia and that physicians had pronounced his case hopeless. Mr. Capps, who was employed at the navy yard, had lived in this city for many years and was held in deservedly high esteem. He was a member of Brambleton Lodge, No. 56, K. of P., and the Uniformed Rank of that order, and held the position of quartermaster on the staff of Colonel George W. Battley, of the First Virginia Regiment, U.R.K.P. Orders have been issued by Colonel Battley to his regiment, composed of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton and Newport News to attend his obsequies which will be held from his late residence, No. 263 Chapel Street, at 4 o'clock this afternoon. Brambleton Lodge will also attend the funeral. Virginian Pilot Tuesday June 27, 1899 ******************************************************************** The funeral of the late Mr. John T.
