CAPPS - Suddenly, at her residence, Cape Henry, Thursday, March 31, 1910, at 
8:30 p.m., NANNIE ACKISS, beloved wife of J. Talbot Capps, aged 53 years.
Notice of funeral later.

Mrs. Nannie A. Capps, wife of J. Talbot Capps, died suddenly at Cape Henry at 
8:30 o'clock yesterday morning. Besides her husband she is survived by six 
children, as follows: O. Bernard Capps, W. Tazewell Capps, Miss Fannie A. Capps, 
Talbot Lee Capps, Mrs. R.P Jarvis and Miss Ethel Capps.

The funeral of Mrs. Nannie Ackiss Capps, wife of J. Talbot Capps, was held from 
her late residence, Cape Henry, Princess Anne County, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and 
was numerously attended. The service was conducted by Rev. N. Richards of the 
Virginia Beach Baptist Church, during which Mrs. E.M. Allen sang "Shall We 
Gather At the River" and "Will There Be Any Stars In My Crown?" There was a 
wealth of beautiful floral tributes attesting the high esteem in which the 
deceased was held.
Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk. The following were the pallbearers:
Honorary - McD. L. Wrenn, N. Beaman, C.W. Fentress, Major C.L. Wright, C. Brooks 
Johnston and Alvah H. Martin.
Active - J.A. Turner, T.B. Ogle, Geo. Gornto, Willie Brock, Dr. W.W. Freeman, 
E.M. Allen, Walter Barnes and Frank Pritchard.
