Capps died at 11 o'clock last night at his home, 1410 Thirty-eighth Street, after an illness of several months. He was 59 years old and is survived by his widow and three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Sol Bishop of Cape Charles and Mrs. C.E. Tysor and Mrs. J.T. Buck of Norfolk and Paul and Edwin Capps. Mr. Capps was employed by the Norfolk and Western Railway. Arrangements for the funeral were not completed last night. NOTE: Corrected name from Jeffreys P. Capps to Jesse T. CAPPS, aged 59 years. Funeral services from the Zion M.E. Church THIS (Monday) AFTERNOON, September 13, at 2:30 o'clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark September 13, 1915 ***************************************************************************** The funeral of Jesse T. Capps took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Zion M.E. Church, Lamberts Point, and was conducted by Rev. G.T. Forrester, pastor of that church. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. There was a large attendance, including representatives of the O.F.A. No. 1 and Odd Fellows. Among the many beautiful flowers was a standing wreath from the employees of the roundhouse of the N. & W., a pillow from the O.F.A. No. 1, a wreath from the Brotherhood Bible class of the Zion M.E. Church. The pallbearers were J.F. Cooper, C.T. Shumadine, John Kelbaugh, T.G. Harmon, A.L. Backus, C.A. Buskey.
