KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. — Michael Joseph Caprio Sr., 79, of 1132 Virginia Dare 
Trail, died Monday in his home. He was a native of Norfolk, Va., and the husband 
of Doris Gisson Caprio.

He was a retired Alcoholic Beverage Commission store manager with 31 years of 
service and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kill Devil Hills, and 
Duck Wood Golf Club, Southern Shores.

Other survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Patricia Allsopp of Mayport, Fla.; a 
son, Michael Joseph Caprio Jr. of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.

The funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Redeemer Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Joseph Bumann. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 
Norfolk, with Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, in charge.
