Cardozo and daughter of the late Robert J. and Martha Butt Barrett, died at the residence of her son-in-law, G. Miller Morgan, 705 West Thirty-eighth Street, Sunday morning at 4:35 o'clock. She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and was well known and esteemed by a wide circle of friends, especially for her charity in administering to the sick and distressed. Surviving her are one son, Walter P. Cardozo, U.S.N.; five daughters, Mrs. S.H. Halbert, Mrs. G.M. Morgan and Mrs. Harry Seelinger, all of Norfolk; Mrs. Charles A. Duncan and Mrs. Charles M. Cake, both of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Morse and Mrs. Inez Holland, of Norfolk; two brothers, Robert Barrett, of Norfolk and William Barrett, of Washington; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, of Which she was a member, this morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. *************************************************************************** Mrs. Kate Barrett Cardozo — Funeral services for Mrs. Cardozo, widow of Walter K. Cardozo, whose death occurred Sunday, were held at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. A. J. Taylor, officiating. The Rev. E. A. Brosnan, the Rev. E. L. Stephens, the Rev. P. P. Brennan and the Rev. R. B. Lesley were present in the sanctuary. At the conclusion of the mass, Father Taylor paid tribute to the Christian life and character of the deceased, and to her devotion to her church. During the service, Mrs. James Hughes sang “In the Hour of Trial,” with E. J. Doran, organist. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, roses, sweet peas and ferns. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were George M. Hepple, James Henley, John A. Butt, J. T. Holland, Charles Holland and J. Watts Martin.
