Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 18, 1954

Richard Stuart Carey, 56, son of Mrs. Margaret Barrett Carey and the late Louis 
V. Carey, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at San Francisco, Calif., 
Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Miss Margaret E. Carey, of 
Norfolk and Mrs. Emory Ronald Coffman, of Virginia Beach, and a niece, Mary 
Stuart Coffman, of Virginia Beach.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to the Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church, of which Mr. Carey was a member, for funeral services 
Wednesday at 10 a.m. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments 
tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

Richard Stuart Carey — The body of Mr. Carey, who died Saturday at San 
Francisco, Calif., will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for funeral services today at 10 a. m. Burial 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
