NORFOLK — Mrs. Margaret Barrett Carey, 100, the widow of Louis V. Carey, died 
Tuesday in Lafayette Villa Nursing Home, where she had lived many years.

She was a native of Southampton County. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Margaret E. Carey of Norfolk and Mrs. E 
Ronald Coffman of Virginia Beach; and a grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at noon in Blessed Sacrament Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited today at 
6 p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. The family will be at 4601 Lafayette 
Towers.
