Norfolk - Mrs. Carrie Hardy Carlie of 861 W. 35th St., died Sunday, July 31 at
her home.

A native of Smithfield, NC, she was the wife of the late Kelly Carlie.  She was
a member of James Holiness Church of Christ Disciples.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheila McMichael and Casandra Blankenship; 
three sons, William H. Hardy, Jasper McMichael, Anthony McMichael;  two sisters,
Mrs. Henrietta Martin, all of Norfolk;  and Bessie Britt of Legrande, NC;  eight
grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on August 7 in St. James Holiness Church of Christ
Disciple by Bishop Garland E. Benson. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  Riddick
Funeral Home had charge.
