Darlington of 930 Washington St. died Friday in a hospital. He was husband of Mrs. Louise A. Darlington. A native of Russell, Ga., he was retired from the Naval Supply Center after 30 years. He was a member of St. John AME and was a World War I Army veteran. He was also a member of the Bachelor Benefit Social Club and the YMCA. Other survivors include a foster daughter, Mrs. Melissa R. Joubert of Cliffwood, N.J.; tow sisters, Mrs. Lottie Dix and Mrs. Lucille Bussey of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, James Darlington of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Monday at noon in St. John AME of Bute Street by the Rev. Walter C. Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military honors. Hale Funeral Home has charge.
