Mrs. Ocie K. Carlisle, 71, of 9610 Sherwood Place, died Friday in a Norfolk 
hospital. She was a native of Norfolk and was the widow of P. Stewart Carlisle.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church and its Senior Citizen 
50-50 Club.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Patricia C. Rowe of Charleston, S.C., 
Mrs. Mary C. Mohrmann of Asia, Mrs. Joan C. Hornsby of Oxon Hill, Md., Mrs. 
Carolyn C. Walker of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Laura C. Swafford of Chesapeake; 
two sons, Philip S. Carlisle Jr. of Norfolk and Thomas E. Carlisle of Dallas; a 
sister, Mrs. Lily Shetler of Northern Neck, Va.; and 25 grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church 
with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Home is in charge of 
arrangements. A Christian Wake service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the 
funeral apartments. The family will be at 1270 Whaley Ave., Norfolk and at 700 
Fentress Road, Chesapeake.

CARLISLE, MRS. OCIE K. - In a Norfolk hospital, Friday, MRS. OCIE K. CARLISLE, 
widow of P. Stewart Carlisle, and daughter of the late Floyd and Mrs. Laura 
Staples Robertson, in the 71st year of her age. A funeral mass will be held in 
Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Tuesday at 10 am. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery. The 
family will be at 1270 Whaley Avenue, Norfolk and 700 Fentress Road, Chesapeake, 
Va. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, has charge.
