He was a native of Halifax County, N. C., and had been a well-known resident of Norfolk for the past 30 years. Mr. Carlisle was a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B. P. O. E., and of Iron Workers Local No. 79, and was a union organizer for the latter organization. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Creekmore Carlisle; two sons, Percy Stewart and Reginald Curtis Carlisle, of Norfolk; his mother, Mrs. S. I. Gillespie, of Macon, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hull, of Witakers, N. C. The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. FUNERALS PERCY CARROL CARLISLE - Funeral services for Percy Carrol Carlisle, whose death occurred Tuesday afternoon, were held at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev E. A. Brosnan officiating. The Rev P. P. Brennan and the Rev A. J. Taylor were present in the sanctuary. At the conclusion of the mass, Father Brosnan paid a tribute to the Christian life and character of Mr. Carlisle. The choir of St. Mary's Female Academy sang several selections. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of pink roses and chrysanthemums. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery and Father Brennan conducted the services at the grave. Pallbearers were William O'Brien, Ole Everson, Clarence Spruill, W. J. Walsh, S. H. Landeree, Thomas Wood, R. Nugent and C. C. Holland.
