Virginian Pilot August 13, 1972

John Carlo, 82, 822 Harrington Ave., died in a hospital Saturday evening.
A native of Italy, he lived here 67 (years) and was a son of Giocomo and Mrs. 
Angela Carlo.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a retired supervisor of 
the Public Works Division, Norfolk Naval Base.
He was the husband of Mrs. Theresa Romeo Carlo.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nick Sokol Jr. of Virginia 
Beach; three sons, Julius R. Carlo and B.J. Carlo of Norfolk and Vincent Carlo 
of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
The Office of the Dead will be said in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Tuesday at 
7 p.m.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Wednesday 
at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will be at 1932 Hillview Blvd., Virginia Beach.
