The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday August 29, 1943
George Carmine, aged 71, son of the late David and Elizabeth Russell 
Carmine, died at a local hospital yesterday at noon, after a long illness. 
Mr. Carmine was a native of Norfolk, and had resided here all his life. 
Surviving are a brother, William Carmine, and a half brother, Frank Carmine, 
both of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Carmine was a member of Lodge 38, B.P.O.E.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral chapel of James V. Derry, 
1920 Colley avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
