Virginian-Pilot May 6, 1899
 Raymond Carmine, aged 11 years, of the Boys’ Home, died from hip trouble at the 
Norfolk Hospital at an early hour yesterday morning. He was a most interesting lad 
and a particular favorite with all who knew him. His funeral will be held at noon 
today from Mr. H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments.
