Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 1, 1924

Mrs. Elizabeth Carmine, aged 85 years, died last night at 6:50 o'clock at the 
residence of her son, M.E. Carmine, 1836 West Thirty-ninth Street.  She is 
survived by two stepsons, Charles Carmine, of Elizabeth City, N.C. and M.E. 
Carmine, of Norfolk, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Ben Wood and Mrs. John 
Smithson, of Norfolk.  Funeral services will be conducted at Old Zion 
Christian Church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. W.H. Garman, 
pastor.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
