Ledger-Dispatch  September 7, 1948
Mrs. Sadie Carney, 67, widow of Charles Wilmot Carney and daughter of the late Mr. 
and Mrs. William F. Rogers, died yesterday at 7:25 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.  
She was a native of New York City and a resident of this section for six years, 
residing at 8001 Keene Road, Monticello Village, at the time of her death.  She is 
survived by one son, William Hearst Carney, one grandson and one granddaughter, 
all of Norfolk.  Services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments today at 3:30 p.m.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
