Carpenter, 80, of the 1200 block of Godfrey Ave., a companion worker, died Nov. 22, 1993, in her residence. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Chesapeake and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Norfolk, the Widow and Widowers Club, Sanctuary Choir, Pastor Aide Club, Missionary Society and Female Usher Board. She attended prayer service. She was the widow of Robert N. Carpenter. Survivors include two daughters, Doris Yvette Woodard and Sharon DeAnn Coley, both of Norfolk; eight grandchildren, Zeontray Woodard, Shenekqa Woodard, Antreon Woodard, Nathaniel Woodard Jr., Naesha Coley, Chiquita Coley, Kendra Coley and Kenyatta Coley, all of Norfolk; a son-in-law, Nathaniel Woodard Sr. of Norfolk; two sisters-in-law, Louise Bright of Baltimore, Md., and Addie M. Bright of Middleton, N.J.; and a great- grandchild, Jaontray Coley of Norfolk. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Family and friends will assemble at 1234 Godfrey Ave. (Norfolk) at 10 a.m. Monday for funeral processional to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
