J. R. Johnson Jr., officiating. He was assisted by the Revs. J. Q. A. Lassiter, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church and J. N. Fuller. Mrs. Viola Smith, a member of St. John’s choir sang “Dry Those Tears.” Pallbearers were from the male usher board of the church. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Services were held for the deceased in Philadelphia on Jan. 4 at Peter Williams Memorial AME Zion Church with Bishop Cameron Alleyne of the Fourth Episcopal District AME Zion Church, the presiding district minister, the Rev. Edwin Kenney, and the pastor, the Rev. A. P. Jenkins officiating. Mrs Doris Cobb sang “I Have Done My Work,” and Miss Elizabeth Dennins rendered “It is Well With my Soul.” Pallbearers were from the trustee board of the church.
